Where to throw darts in Charlotte, NC area
If you were like me I have been looking at throwing steel-tip darts in the Charlotte area and had trouble locating places to play with some competition. I had been throwing darts since Dec. 2007 at the Flying Saucer in the university area. They have two dart boards but the format is just challenge the board, nothing formal.
Okay enough about that let talk about the formal places.
Wed. - 7:30 - McHales in Fort Mill SC has a blind draw ($5). Blind Draw is where you sign up on a board and they draw partners. The format at McHales is first you play cricket and then you play 501. To start you flip a coin. Winner of the coin toss picks whether they will show one or you will show one in a diddle. Diddle is closest to bull. If you split the games you diddle to determine whether the last game is cricket or 501. Winner of the diddle decides. They also have a raffle, if your ticket is drawn then you have 3 darts to hit the red bull. If you hit you win the pot. Losers bracket same format. If you don't hit its carried to next week.
Thursdays - The Getaway - Have not been to this location. The folks at McHales said its good. If anyone has info please use the comment section.
Fridays at 8:30 - The Green Room in Pineville - Format is 501 first then cricket. Losers bracket is 1 game of 501.

Found a neat site named www.dartdiddle.com which allows you to post upcoming events and interact with other darters.
