These are great I have them on the 1st and 2nd floor of my house.
The Kidde 9CO5 battery-operated carbon monoxide (CO) alarm uses the patented Nighthawk electrochemical CO sensor to help protect you and your family from the dangers of CO. Easy to install, the 9CO5’s green LED flashes every 30 seconds to indicate the unit is operating properly. If dangerous CO levels are detected, the red LED pulses and an 85 db horn sounds at specific intervals until the CO threat is eliminated. Because it’s powered by 3 AA batteries, the 9CO5 is able to provide continuous monitoring of CO levels, even during power outages. The unit’s snap-open cover makes it easy to take out old batteries but is difficult to close if you forget to install new batteries. For peace of mind, a test/reset button allows you to test that alarm is functioning properly. The 9CO5 is covered with a five-year manufacturer’s limited warranty and replacement is recommended after seven years.
