Finding a new job can really be a hassle.
Are you looking for a new position/job but are having difficulties getting the interview?
Well let me tell you I have been dealing with a lot of different contracting companies and they say they have positions but wheres the interview? I am hear to tell you that the positions that they have are not even approved. Why are they advertising a position then you ask? Well I also found out that they will reach out to their contact and if that contact tells them well I should have a position coming in a couple of months they will start getting the details and posting for it even when the position has not been approved and right now I would say for the financial institutions most of those position are getting denied.
So weeks go by and you have high hopes on that new career opportunity only to find out the job was never approved.
Salaries
Anyhow do not get down on yourself when you do get that interview you may find out the salary they were advertising is also incorrect. That has happened to me twice now. Human Resources and managers and being flooded with resumes and they now know that its supply and demand. A HR rep came back to me stating the job was 10,000 less than what was posted and presented with the question. "Do you still want to proceed with the interview?" Of course right now they have the upper hand so I said yes. But the circle will revolve and I will get my due.
What they do not know is that people will keep my feelers out and they will eventually jump to that opportunity that pays more. So they should really reconsider because they will be wasting a lot of HR and managers time probably costing more than $10,000 for 1 person per year. I say its funny.
More thoughts to come as I continue through this process.
