10 Ways to Save or Make extra Cash
1. Garage Sale - Whether you attend one or host one its a good way to sell products laying around the house. If you're you can find some great deals. Sometimes you can find new to like new products.
2. Quit or cut back on Smoking. You can save a lot of money by quitting and it would be a healthy move too.
3. If I mention smoking I must mention Drinking Less. Look for an inexpensive beer or wine. Maybe an off brand liquor.
4. Go Out Every Other Week - If you go out every week try cutting it back to every other week then every 3 weeks. You will be amazed of the savings. Be a home body for awhile.
5. Money Game - Empty your pockets and put the $5, $1, or quarters into a Jar. Try this for a month. Take change to Cinstar but make sure you exchange for a gift certificate vs getting the money. They take a percentage if you go for the money.
6. Tax Software - You can do your taxes yourself rather than hiring a person to file taxes. Just gather all your paperwork before you start TaxCut or TurboTax will step you through and make the most out of your deduction without having to pay someone. You CAN DO THIS!!!!
7. Buy Used. See the bog about PS3 games. Craiglist and eBay are good sites.
8. Consolidate Bills - Look into VoIP (Vonage does this. See what plan suits you. For me I have 500 min. for $20 a month. Remember the phone company charges you the federal and state regulatory tax.) Look into Bundling services if they are available to you.
9. Look into Free to Air instead of Cable, DirecTV, or Dish Network. You do not get all the same programs but how often do you really watch other TV stations. You do get HD CBS, FOX, ABC, NBC and more with an UHF Antenna and a digital/analog converter box. If you have an HDTV you do not need the converter box. Those stations are free. You can also look into Free to Air Satellite. Please search Google on free to air for more info.
10. Consider renting out a room. On average you can get $350 to $450 plus splitting utilities and other bills.
Bonus: Use deal sites like this if you must buy new. ;)
